- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- CPA preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to work virtually with colleagues around the globe
- Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
What the job involves
- Nverus is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team, this role can be based in the US or Canada
- Coordinates accounting functions and programs
- Prepares financial analyses and reports
- Prepare cash tax payment forecasts
- Assists with preparing and monitoring budgets
- Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Assists with annual audit preparations
- Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
- Prepares federal, state, local, and special tax returns; along with maintenance of tax records in a organized manner
- Prepare accounting memos in accordance with GAAP requirements
