As a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst, you'll analyze real-world enterprise security scenarios — firewall events, EDR alerts, email threats, and infrastructure misconfigurations — and use your hands-on experience to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI systems. Your expertise directly shapes how AI understands, reasons about, and responds to cybersecurity threats.
This is a remote, flexible contract role ideal for experienced security professionals looking to contribute to frontier AI while working on their own schedule.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments Review firewall, EDR, SIEM, and infrastructure security cases to determine what went wrong and why Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on realistic operational data Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems Clearly articulate root causes, attacker techniques, and business impact in structured formats Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
Who You Are
2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles Familiar with enterprise security tooling: firewalls, EDR platforms, email security gateways, IAM, and SIEMs Strong understanding of how real organizations deploy, operate, and fail at security controls Able to communicate complex security issues clearly — not just identify them, but explain them Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to analysis Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely without close supervision
Nice to Have
Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or security operations Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls Background in red team, blue team, or purple team activities Prior experience contributing to AI, data labeling, or security research projects
