Internship: Custom Order Engineering Specialist (16-month) - Milton, ON, Canada
About the role
What You’ll Do Eaton is seeking an Intern - Custom Order Product Specialist to join our Engineering team for a 16-month term. The Engineering Intern will be based in Milton, Ontario. This position is scheduled to start in May 2026. The hourly range for this role is $20-$25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Position Overview This position will work closely with Custom Order Product Specialists, creating/updating as-built ACAD-Electrical drawings, improving/enhancing front end tools (MS Suite). In addition, the position will support on Design Automation projects and Mechanical Design Team ' s Continuous Improvement activities.
Essential Functions
- Creating/updating ACAD-Electrical drawings and supporting Engineering Department on related activities.
- Leading & assisting with improvements to databases (MS Access) and MS Suite Tools.
- Actively participating in plant wide lean activities.
- Supporting Engineering Department with cost improvements and quality initiatives.
- Complete other duties/projects as required.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in and returning to college or University degree program in Engineering or Computer Science.
- This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within 120 kms of Milton, ON, Canada.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or co-op experience.
- Intermediate/ advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ACAD Electrical and Microsoft applications.
Position Criteria
- Strong customer service focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely on multiple projects, in a manufacturing environment.
- Good analytical/problem-solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
