We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Home Warranty Claims Adjuster to join our team and be part of a company that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and processing home warranty claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.

What you will be doing

• Receive and review commenced New Home Warranty policies and verify coverage.
• Explain coverage and claims process to homeowners and builders.
• Attend property as needed with detailed report provided to homeowner and builder concurrently.
• Set, evaluate, and maintain appropriate reserves.
• Gather and assess information to make coverage determinations.
• Investigate losses, collect, and review the relevant information.
• Retain and/or coordinate appropriate external resources.
• Oversee, monitor, and control costs associated with external resources.
• Subrogate against builder for occasions when Millennium has brought in a third-party contractor.
• Fully document claim files in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with sales and underwriting.
• Foster and grow working relationships with contractors and vendors.

What you bring to the team

• Minimum of two (2) years of Home Warranty claims experience.
• Knowledge of Home Warranty Insurance Regulations, the Construction Performance Guide, Alberta Building Regulation and Alberta Insurance Act is required.
• Experience in the residential construction industry is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including experience with claims management software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions.
• High level of attention to detail, organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

How you will succeed

In the first year, success will be measured by the ability to independently assess and evaluate a variety of New Home Warranty claims, demonstrating a strong understanding of policy coverage, accurate documentation, and effective communication with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should consistently meet or exceed established targets for claim resolution while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and adherence to industry regulations.
