Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Development the incumbent shall assist team members responsible for the records, information management and CAD support functions.
The following position may be of interest to students in the following programs:
- Architectural Technology and Interior Design degree program
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking on-site as-built measurements and updating information to the master CAD floor plans and other drawings;
- Taking digital pictures and cataloging changed or renovated spaces to populate photo library for future Planning reference;
- Assisting with organizing reference records (e.g. Warranty manuals, etc.) to enable easy retrieval of records;
- Assisting with the maintenance and updating of the facilities data and records;
- Digitizing paper documents in support of Records Management strategy to centralize facilities records filing;
- Assist in room-space verification of existing data in Archibus, e.g. updates of department ownership due to spaces changes as a result of role reassignment and renovations;
- Assist with furniture move coordination (preparing test fit drawings) from time to time as required;
- Miscellaneous Auto CAD assignments
Requirements for this position include:
- Currently studying at the Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and currently enrolled in the Architectural Technology program and starting 3rd semester in the fall of 2026 or currently enrolled in the Interior Design degree program and starting 5th semester in the fall of 2026;
- This position is funded through the College Student Employment Program (CSEP). Applicants must be eligible for CSEP;
- You must be currently enrolled in a full-time program. The following students arenot eligible: Second Career, Apprenticeship Programs, International students, Algonquin College employees paying a reduced tuition, Collaborative programs with the University of Ottawa or Carleton University and all programs that are not Ministry-approved;
- You must be a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident, or a Protected Person/Convention Refugee within the meaning of subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) prior to the application deadline date;
- You must demonstrate a financial need by successfully applying for OSAP or out-of-province financial aid funding

During the summer, the position is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:00AM to 4:00 PM during the summer with an anticipated start date expected between April 27 and May 4th and a completion date of August 31;

Maximum 24 hrs. per week during the fall and winter academic semester ending April 2027 between 8am - 5pm Monday -Friday. Note that the number of hours that the successful applicant may work during the academic year is at their discretion and is typically determined by the learners’ academic commitments.

Please note the student payrate range is $22 - $23 per hour.
