Resort Services Operations Manager
**Reports to:**Director of Resort Services and Events
**Job Status:**Full Time, Year Round
Job Description:
The Resort Services Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of resort events, while ensuring the Village Centre Mall, and other day lodges as required, consistently meet high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety.
This role leads a cross-functional team supporting events and custodial operations, ensuring all activations are delivered seamlessly and that public spaces reflect the quality and experience expected at Big White. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Position Requirements/Skills:
- Proven experience in event coordination or event operations
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of cleanliness standards, presentation, and public space management
- Ability to identify and proactively manage operational and safety risks
- Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Work well within a diverse team environment
Duties and Responsibilities - Events:
- Lead the planning and execution of all resort events as directed by the Director of Resort Services & Events
- Develop and deliver weekly events programming to enhance the guest experience
- Coordinate logistics for events including set-up, staffing, equipment, and on-site execution
- Act as on-site lead for events, ensuring smooth delivery and quick resolution of any issues
- Source, order, and manage event supplies, materials, and prizing in alignment with event needs and budgets
Duties & Responsibilities – Operations:
- Oversee the overall cleanliness and presentation of the Village Centre Mall
- Liaise with cleaning contractors to ensure standards are consistently met
- Monitor and address aesthetic elements, ensuring the space remains welcoming and guest-ready
- Identify, mitigate, and manage risk within public spaces, implementing best practices for safety and compliance
- Coordinate minor maintenance and repairs as required
- Source and order operational supplies to support custodial needs, seasonal décor, and overall building presentation

Hire, onboard, schedule, and manage Resort Services team members

Lead daily operations with a focus on accountability, efficiency, and customer service

Manage bi-weekly payroll and staff scheduling
Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit and stand extended periods during events

Capable of lifting and carrying event materials and supplies

Must be able to kneel, bend, and perform physical tasks as required

Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Location: Big White Ski Resort
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000based on experience
