About the role

Description Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and control systems. Through eight specialized business units, GAL Manufacturing, GAL Canada, Hollister-Whitney, Elevator Controls, Courion, Bore-Max, Thames Valley Controls, and Vertical Dimensions, Vantage delivers the products, systems, and support that power nearly every aspect of modern elevator performance. Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

Role Summary The Regional Project Manager for GAL Canada serves as the primary coordinator for bundled modernization projects, connecting sales, manufacturing, logistics, and support to deliver complete elevator solutions from order release through shipment. This newly created position manages all aspects of project execution: planning schedules, aligning responsibilities, coordinating interdepartmental communication, and ensuring on time, accurate fulfillment.

At the core of this position is ownership of the bundled packages, ensuring that multiple Vantage business units operate in sync to provide a seamless, unified customer experience. The Project Manager oversees order flow, receiving, invoicing, and cost reconciliation, maintaining clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the process.

Success in this role requires both structure and adaptability: the ability to manage multiple concurrent modernization projects, anticipate challenges before they affect timelines, and uphold Vantage’s standards for precision, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

This position will report directly to the GAL Canada President.

Key Responsibilities Project Management & Coordination:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation for bundled modernization projects, including schedules, updates, cost summaries, and customer correspondence, from order release through delivery, ensuring that all commitments are met.
  • Coordinate across sales and multiple Vantage business units to align production schedules, shipping logistics, and support teams to ensure project accuracy and timely progress.
  • Monitor and manage receiving, invoicing, and reconciliation processes in partnership with Finance, ensuring invoices reflect correct components, costs, and freight.
  • Collaborate with leadership to track and report performance metrics, identify trends, and suggest process improvements.
  • Track milestones, identify risks early, and take corrective action to maintain predictable delivery performance.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring questions, changes, and updates are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries, quote requests, and order status updates.
  • Support customers with part identification, replacement needs, and technical clarifications in coordination with internal experts.
  • Prepare and issue quotations, process customer orders, and confirm receipt and accuracy of all related documentation.
  • Manage order tracking from entry through shipment, providing regular updates to customers and resolving delivery or quality issues as they arise.
  • Assist in the processing of RMAs when required and assist in warranty or billing related resolutions.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers through consistent follow-up, clear communication, and dependable service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience, ideally within the elevator industry; related experience in manufacturing, construction, or building modernization will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and follow-through skills, with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive practical improvements.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.); CPQ and CRM experience a plus.
  • Skilled communicator (verbal, written, and visual reporting) with strong customer service orientation.
  • Advanced organizational ability, with a proactive, solutions focused mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).

History

Founded as G.A.L Electro Mechanical Services in 1927 by Herbert Glaser, Jack Ambramowitz, and Harold Leon, the company started out with its own line of gate switches, interlocks, and door operators. The company quickly grew from being a key local supplier of lift products into a major national provider to the industry. In 1960 the company purchased Hollister-Whitney and soon after was renamed GAL Manufacturing Corp. The company moved to its current location in 1970. GAL's 100,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility is located in the Bronx, near Yankee Stadium, at 50 East 153rd St.

In 2005 GAL acquired Elevator Components Inc. (ECI), merging them with GAL Canada. In 2018, GAL acquired Courion, a leading provider of freight elevator door systems, Bore-Max, a producer of highly regarded hydraulic elevator components, and Elevator Controls, a highly renowned designer/manufacturer of elevator control systems. In 2018 all the companies united under the name of "Vantage" to create a stronger, centralized partner that would provide customers with easy access to an unprecedented range of resources.
