Description POSITION SUMMARY * Ontario Shores is seeking an Advanced Practice Therapist/ Clinician , reporting to Administrative Director, Integrated Community Access Program (ICAP).
Qualifications Required And Preferred
- Current registration with a Professional College required
- Masters degree in a health discipline required
- Experience working within the forensic system preferred
- 3 years’ experience working in service provision to clients with serious mental illness and or concurrent disorders required.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in clinical education/teaching preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with teaching/learning skills based on the principles of mentorship and adult learning
- Experience in a Clinical Specialist or advance practice role an asset.
- Experience in working in various outpatient/ community settings an asset.
- Experience with process improvement an asset.
- Demonstrated working knowledge/experience with electronic health records preferred
- Meditech experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of College Standards of Practice and commitment to maintaining reflective practice standards as described by the College.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Mental Health, Forensic Mental Health System relevant policies and legislation.
- Ability to work effectively individually as well as part of an inter-professional team.
- Proven ability to exercise mature, effective judgment and independent problem solving.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- The candidate will have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and effective oral/written communication skills including demonstrated excellent documentation practices.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position.
