Reporting to the Superintendent- Mining, the Dispatch is responsible for scheduling and dispatching workers, work crews, machinery, equipment or service vehicles to achieve optimal production rates.

Location: Blackwater Mine Site - located 160 km south of Prince George, BC.

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
• Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to schedules, work orders, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.
• Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
• Dispatch the mine truck fleet to safely maximize production rates.
• Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
• Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
• Relay work orders, messages and information to or from work crews and supervisors using telephones or two-way radios.
• Serve as central communication personnel for mine production and safety, including emergency events.
• Prepare daily work and run schedules.
• Receive or prepare work orders.
• Oversee all communications within specifically assigned areas.
• Record and maintain files and records of dispatch information.
• Complete shift and production reports in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or GED preferred but not essential.
• Previous dispatch experience considered an asset.
• Minestar experience is an asset.
• Experience in a mine operations role required.

• Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation
• Ability to work night shift.
