About the role

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in fraud prevention, with at least 2 years focused on earnings, rebates, loyalty, or incentive abuse, with exposure to behavioural fraud patterns beyond traditional payment risk
  • 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience
  • Proficiency in data exploration using SQL and/or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, or Finance on risk policy or control design
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What the job involves

  • Risk Operations at Super.com has a wide scope spanning payment fraud, offerwall fraud, and KYC
  • Functionally, we report into Finance, but we are also embedded into various cross-functional, mission-aligned teams (MATs)
  • This structure empowers us to partner with leaders across the business to drive strategy and contribute to product development with the ultimate goal of increasing the likelihood of positive, profitable transactions
  • This is a newly created leadership role designed to protect the integrity and profitability of Super.com’s earnings and rebates ecosystem as it rapidly scales
  • Unlike payment fraud, which is governed by transactional controls, earnings and incentive abuse targets the mechanics of internal reward systems — requiring teams to anticipate manipulation of terms, loopholes, and incentives, from multi-account farming to partner exploitation, while balancing growth with risk
  • As the Manager, Risk Operations – Earnings & Rebates, you will own both strategy and execution: leading a team of analysts, shaping fraud and abuse policies in partnership with Product and Finance, and developing controls that safeguard one of Super.com’s most critical growth engines
  • Success in this role requires analytical depth, strong pattern recognition, and the ability to influence how risk is embedded into products at scale
  • It’s an ideal fit for someone who wants to build scalable frameworks in a fast-evolving risk domain where traditional fraud playbooks fall short
  • Identify emerging fraud and abuse risks and partner with earnings and rebates MATs and cross-functional teams to design and optimize policies, rules, and controls that balance growth, customer experience, and profitability
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into complex abuse patterns, including multi-account farming, partner exploitation, manufactured earnings, and synthetic identity behaviour
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators and loss metrics related to earnings and rebates risk
  • Manage and coach a team of risk analysts, ensuring prioritization, analytical rigor, and high-quality delivery

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • 2x/year performance reviews
  • RRSP and 401k
  • Generous equity options
  • $1,200 annual learning & development allowance
  • Unlimited PTO (really!)
  • Recharge days throughout the year
  • Parental leave + top-up program
  • Annual $200 travel allowance
  • Employee-exclusive discounts
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance on day one
  • $360 annual wellness allowance
  • Employee assistance programs
