This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines. Why is this role important? You will be a key part of our development team. Working closely with product managers, lead developers and developers, you will ensure the smooth development of the product within your area of expertise. You will also coordinate the technical efforts required to deliver new features, while adhering to the norms, standards and practices set by the development leadership team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Help design reusable components for Radio-Canada’s digital platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and monitor product quality throughout the project.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in quality assurance.
  • Be proactive and suggest solutions to challenges that arise.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities in order to review progress on projects in production and make the necessary corrections/adjustments, or to gauge the results of completed projects.
  • Help develop user stories for our various products.
  • Ensure that internally developed applications perform well and can meet high demand.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retros and application deployments.

What You Bring To Our Team

  • University or college degree/diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years’ experience as a quality assurance analyst in a web or mobile environment.
  • Experience with APIs, CMSs, back-end services and databases.
  • Passion for software quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong collaborator and contributor to any team.
  • Knowledge of test automation, test tooling and testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery practices.
  • Experience with application design and development life cycle, especially with Agile Scrum Project Management Methodology.
  • Strong experience and the ability to work independently with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Swagger and Postman.
  • Experience with and knowledge of website security, as well as process designing and engineering (assets).
  • Good general knowledge and high degree of curiosity (acquiring and developing new skills and knowledge).
  • Critical mind (challenging the status quo and voicing new ideas).
  • Keen interest in major digital trends and issues.
  • Diligence, independence and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent stress management and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical and conceptual mind.
  • Flexibility, initiative and drive.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Solid command of French.

Please note this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually. This regular position is not a consulting assignment but a long-term opportunity with attractive CBC/Radio-Canada employee benefits.
