You as a Planner and Scheduler for our Project Advisory and Management Group will:
- Prepare comprehensive project master schedules for high-complexity projects in accordance with contract requirements and EllisDon standards
- Prepare schedule updates, including cash flow updates, in accordance with EllisDon Management System guidelines
- Develop and publish regular Schedule Performance Reports featuring progress dashboards, Earned Value Analysis/Schedule Performance Index, S-curves, Heatmaps, Milestone Trend Analysis, Variance Analysis, and areas of concern
- Review and provide feedback on reports generated by Project Managers and team members
- Track and report on schedule float and critical path activities
- Define criticality criteria per contract documents and identify critical and near-critical path activities
- Identify and communicate schedule-related risks and opportunities to the project team
- Define optimum risk response plans to support on-time project completion
- Ensure schedules are robust and appropriate to support potential extension of time claims
- Demonstrate strong understanding of delay analysis methodologies and collaborate with external delay experts on extension of time claims
- Establish strong working relationships with clients, consultants and contractors’ scheduling teams to develop and maintain project baseline schedules
- Lead discussions on corrective actions, schedule mitigation measures, and resequencing with project teams
Is this the right role for you?
- You have a construction-related degree/diploma and five years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- You have experience working with institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential projects
- PSP and/or PMI-SP, designation is an asset
- Experience in different delay analysis techniques
- Experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, and with 4D scheduling is an asset
- Experience working on multiple projects from initiation to close out
- Planning/Scheduling experience across various delivery methods (EPC, Design-Build, CM, PPP, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write professional reports, narratives, and analyses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
