A Snapshot of Your Day As a Jr. Project Manager for Industrial projects, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility by managing various construction and maintenance projects. You will work closely with senior project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management within a dynamic factory setting.
Your Tasks:
- Project Planning: Assist in the development of project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Project Execution: Oversee the day-to-day activities of facility projects, ensuring they progress according to plan and are completed on time and within budget.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers, managing relationships and ensuring they adhere to project requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality standards and safety protocols throughout project execution.
- Budget Management: Track project expenses and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including factory leadership and team members.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address project issues and risks proactively, finding solutions to keep projects on track.
- Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements and best practices in project management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, projects management, or a related field preferred.
- Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineers are preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in project management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
- PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
