Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques. Mountain driving expertise. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Air Brakes Endorsement. Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Forklift Operator Certification. Documentation knowledge: Bill of lading. Trans-border documentation. Type of trucking and equipment: Refrigerated. Tractor-trailer. Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border.
