EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Position: FOOD SERVICE WORKER
Facility: Lamont Health Care Centre
Status: PERMANENT Part-time
Position Summary: Responsible for complete food production, quality control, meal service and some
food purchasing as well as general supervision of Food Services Workers in the absence of the
Supervisor. Work collaboratively with Nursing and other departments to address food and nutrition needs
of patients and residents as required.
Reporting to: Food Services Supervisor
Qualifications:
• Grade XII (12) preferred.

On-the-job training provided but 2 years related experience preferred.

Food Handling Certificate preferred.

Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to perform routine tasks.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to show some creativity and initiative.

Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
-
Must be a team player and conduct himself/herself in a professional manner.

Ability to adhere to the Health Care Centre’s Mission and Philosophy**.**
Hours: 0.49 FTE (Days/Evenings/Weekends varying shift lengths and start times)
Salary: As per the AUPE Multi-Employer General Support Services Collective

Lamont Health Care Centre is a multilevel facility which is operated by a Board under an affiliation with The United Church of Canada.
The Mission of the Board is rooted in the healing ministry of Jesus and commits to treating every person with respect, compassion and dignity. The Mission clearly expresses the view that the beauty of God is seen in every person.
Although the care and service we provide is not limited to any community, our services are geared to meet the needs of a population of approximately 10,000 within Lamont County and municipalities within the County and other immediate surrounding areas.
