Job Summary Reporting to the Director, Advancement, the Manager, Leasing and Property Management Services will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of residential rental, commercial leased properties and rental agreements including a diverse portfolio of child care operator licenses. The Manager, Leasing and Property Management Services will set policy and procedures and identify efficiencies and operational improvements related to the district’s leasing and child care activity. Understanding district needs and identifying appropriate new lease spaces where required along with renewing, terminating, drafting, and editing lease and license documents will form key parts of the Manager, Leasing and Property Management Services job description. The Manager, Leasing and Property Management Services will ensure legal, risk and financial adherence of all leases and rental licenses to established district and industry policies and procedures. The Manager, Leasing will work closely with district finance, risk, education and rentals departments, internal and external maintenance, property and real estate management teams, landlords, tenants and legal advisors. The incumbent will show exceptional skill working with diverse stakeholders working in a busy and dynamic environment.

Qualifications Education & Experience

The ideal candidate will have Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in leasing commercial real estate and/or property management or an equivalent combination of post-secondary training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities The ability to set and manage multi-million dollar budgets and bring multiple projects to fruition on time and on budget will be critical to the Manager, Leasing’s success. An excellent record of achievement as a strong, innovative leader/manager in a similar role is required. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, and more than 5 years’ relevant experience will be necessary to enable the individual to fulfill this role. A valid driver's license is required.

The salary range for this position is $101,086 to $126,357 per year with comprehensive benefits package and Municipal Pension.

Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of qualifications and ability to meet the key requirements of the job, and consideration of internal equity comparisons. The midpoint of the range represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position.
