About the role

Senior Operations Leader (Multi-Site Processing & Logistics)

Company Overview:

Our client is a Canadian industry leader specializing in high-volume, mission-critical industrial processing, supply chain logistics, and value-add services. Operating as an essential service, the business is exceptionally stable and recession-proof, boasting decades of continuous growth. With several world-class processing facilities in British Columbia and a dedicated workforce of several hundred employees, they are an essential partner to some of the most recognized healthcare and hospitality organizations.

The Opportunity & Leadership Mandate:

We are seeking a high-caliber, executive-level Senior Operations Leader to join our Vancouver Operations team. This role is designed for a decisive, action-oriented operator who takes ownership of operational execution and moves with a strong sense of purpose and urgency. Reporting closely with the leadership team, your mandate is to serve as an operational decision-maker across our multi-facility ecosystem. We are not looking for a passive overseer. We need a grounded, proactive leader who has the ability to make sound decisions based on information available, drives daily momentum, and builds trust across the floor with our highly experienced workforce. By absorbing operational escalations and executing decisively, you will allow our regional executive team to remain focused on macro-business strategy and long-term regional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the Definitive Decision-Maker: Act as a primary operational anchor on the ground. Diagnose plant, service, and logistics challenges, evaluate options rapidly, and confidently make the call to keep operations moving without deflecting upward or delaying action. Drive Personal Initiative & Urgency: Lead by example from the front lines. Rather than managing through delegation alone, actively step into complex situations, identify risks and barriers, and personally spearhead the solutions, with follow-up to ensure the desired outcome. Optimize High-Volume Plant Operations: Directly oversee complex, automated industrial processing workflows, ensuring peak efficiency, stringent safety and quality standards, and optimal labor utilization across shifts. Streamline Just-In-Time Logistics: Coordinate closely with logistics and distribution teams to ensure flawless, near round-the-clock routing and inventory management. Mobilize a Large Workforce: Direct, mentor, and inspire a large, multi-layered workforce across varied shifts, leveraging their deep experience while providing the clear, supportive direction required to maintain high-velocity execution.

The Profile of Our Ideal Candidate:

This role requires a mature, impactful, and collaborative leader who values execution over theory and takes pride in being the person who "gets things done."

Experience: 10 to 15+ years of progressive senior operations leadership (Director of Operations, General Manager, or Heavy Plant Manager) navigating complex, multi-site industrial processing, heavy manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or high-volume automated distribution/logistics environments. Leadership Style: An experienced and collaborative leader who leads with clarity and confidence. Your clear and professional spoken and written communication skills instill trust, confidence and buy-in from your team and other stakeholders. You are proactive, solution-oriented and have a proven track record of making high-stakes operational decisions. Workforce Mobilization: Exceptional ability to lead, engage, and unite a large, diverse, multi-layered workforce across varied shift structures. Core Competencies: Strong financial and operational acumen regarding plant metrics/margins, a bias for immediate action, and a deep-seated belief that accountability stops with you.

Compensation Range:

Salary range: $110,000 – $170,000, commensurate with experience Performance Bonus Plan Comprehensive Benefits Plan

Decades of Market Stability: We are an essential-service provider backed by long-term institutional contracts, offering unparalleled job security and stability in today's market.
