About the role

You've put in the time to build your skills—now lead a team that values your experience. Our Supervisor, Suncor, plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient and economical operations by assigning work and making day-to-day decisions. This position is based at our customer site in Fort McMurray, supporting our ongoing partnership with Suncor.

The shift rotation for this position is 14x14, days and nights.
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000 plus incentive.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a skilled team in maintaining and repairing heavy mining and construction equipment while promoting safety best practices and fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and integrity.
  • Manage workforce scheduling and planning to optimize resources, ensure tasks are completed on time, and maintain accountability in daily operations.
  • Support team development by troubleshooting issues, refining repair techniques, and guiding team members to grow their skills.
  • Set clear performance goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Facilitate toolbox talks and safety meetings to reinforce safety culture and keep the team informed and engaged.
  • Build strong relationships with leadership, team members, and customers, ensuring exceptional service by addressing concerns proactively.
  • Monitor warranty recovery rates and verify repair vs. replacement decisions to maintain high-quality work standards.

What you bring:

  • Trade certification with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a qualified tradesperson.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role in the mining industry.
  • Strong expertise in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of OHSE regulations, safety inspections, and ensuring a safe workplace.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and documentation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
