This role presents a unique opportunity to lead the end to end brand experience across digital platforms, physical merchandise, and enterprise-wide UX/UI systems. The Director, Brand Experience will shape the organization’s digital ecosystem, streamline operational processes, and ensure consistent, compliant, and client centric experiences that strengthen Equitable’s market position. As a senior leader, this role also offers the ability to drive strategic transformation, inspire a high performance culture, and influence the future of Equitable’s brand and client journey.

**Work Arrangements:**This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
What you’ll do:
- Create and develop policies and procedures for the implementation of the brand experience strategy that supports the goals of the enterprise.
- Development of comprehensive and responsive merchandising strategy that meets the changing needs of distribution.
- Work with vendors to organize creation of merchandise to populate the store reliably.
- Manage the relationship with storage/fulfilment partner.
- Create and develop an agile or waterfall operating model and corresponding service standards to ensure web experiences are consistent across the enterprise.
- Create, manage and ensure consistency of print templates, including communications.
- Create, manage and ensure consistency of web experiences, including marketing.
- Create and develop brand digital experience strategy for the corporate website, brand e-store, print on demand e-store and other cross line of business web property as assigned.
- Source product and stand-up supply chain for the Equitable merchandise e-store, including quality control.
- Responsible for the implementation of the brand’s digital experience strategy including:
- Defining the advisor and client experience on various digital platforms
- Prioritizing the implementation of the experience
- Accountable for ensuring the capture of applicable data from the digital experience to be used for various initiatives
- Overseeing, being responsible for and accountable for the implementation of the experience including being the accountable person for persistent IT streams each with squads.
- Operational relationship management with Digital Experience Leadership, Operational Leadership, Distribution Leadership, Product Marketing Leadership and Executive Team stakeholders,
- Create and develop policies and procedures related to training and development in all reporting departments.
- Ensure prompt, quality, productive service in all reporting departments
- Ensure operational compliance with all application legislation and regulations
- Ensure responsible human resource management, including recruiting, performance management, reward and recognition, and talent management in reporting departments and with direct reporting leaders
- Ensure diligent budget management of expenses.
What you’ll bring:
- Post secondary education or significant experience is lieu.
- 5 – 10 years of experience in management.
- Experience and training in strategic planning.
- Experience running agile teams.
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to negotiate with and influence others
- Understanding of the insurance industry, including its issues, distributors, competitors, products, legislation is an asset.
- Strong risk management and exception analysis/decision making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, all with varying business requirements and skill set requirements.
- Ability to balance multiple deadlines and manage multiple departments and priorities.
- Excellent knowledge of the departments within the enterprise.
- Superior knowledge of workflows and process improvement.

Your base pay will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and education. In addition to your salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award tied to business performance, plus a wide range of competitive benefits.
