Role Description The Landscape Architect Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Edmonton, AB, with flexibility for some work-from-home tasks. This role supports landscape architects and designers in preparing plans, drawings, and technical documentation for residential, commercial, and municipal projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting planting plans, assisting with site measurements, compiling materials lists, and coordinating with construction teams to ensure designs are accurately implemented. The technician will help refine landscape designs, contribute to project planning, and maintain organized project files and digital records. Collaboration with internal teams and occasional site visits will be required to support project delivery and ensure high-quality outcomes. Qualifications Strong skills in landscape planning and landscape design for a variety of project types. Knowledge of landscaping practices and landscape architecture principles. Ability to develop and interpret detailed planting plans, including plant selection and layout. Relevant education or training in landscape architecture, landscape technology, or a related field. Proficiency with CAD or landscape design software and basic office productivity tools. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, construction teams, and clients. Experience with local climate, plant materials, and municipal standards in Edmonton and surrounding areas is an asset.
