Job Description
Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional - Warehouse in Etobicoke, Ontario**.**
Job Title: Security Professional - Warehouse
Location: Etobicoke, ON, M8V 0A1
Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $17.85 per hour
Shifts: Tuesday to Sunday/Various Shift
Hours: 30 hours per week
Overview
Allied Universal is currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Professional - Warehouse to support operations at a warehouse facility in Etobicoke, Ontario. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and controlled environment for employees, visitors, and company assets through active monitoring, access control, and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Access Control: Enforce site access procedures by verifying identification, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring gates and doors are securely locked when not in use.
- Entry & Exit Monitoring: Control access at the gatehouse to ensure only authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles enter the premises.
- Identification Verification: Check employee badges, visitor passes, and other credentials to confirm proper authorization.
- Surveillance Monitoring: Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to identify and report suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Communication: Maintain clear and consistent radio communication with the site control guard and other security team members. Promptly report incidents or unusual activity.
- Emergency Response: Respond appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or security threats. Contact emergency services and provide assistance as required.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete daily logs, incident reports, patrol records, and shift handover notes.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of prior security experience
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Minimum age of 18 years (for insurance purposes)
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Eligibility to work in Canada for up to 30 hours per week
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
