About the role
Are you a driven and ambitious professional eager to kickstart or accelerate your career in sales? Field Effect, a dynamic cybersecurity scale-up, is growing and continuously seeking for Business Development Representative (BDR) in Canada to help us drive new business for our Managed Detection & Response solution and build lasting relationships with clients.
As the first sales touchpoint, Field Effect BDRs generate opportunities through marketing-qualified leads and proactive outbound efforts. BDRs play a key role in building the partner pipeline and contributing to overall sales success.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify, contact, and qualify decision makers from target accounts, including managed service providers (MSP), value-added-resellers (VAR), and small-to-mid sized businesses
- Book prospect meetings for Account Executives with the ultimate goal of these meetings becoming a new pipeline opportunity for sales
- Call volumes of 100+ per day
- Achieve your quota for generating new opportunities for sales
- In your sales calls, understand a prospects pain points and how we solve for them, plus always take a values-based approach in your sales conversations
- Develop your sales skills through regular one on ones, simulated/role play sales calls, and practicing with our sales playbook
- Maintain comprehensive information, including call records and account status, in our CRM
- Reporting on weekly/monthly/quarterly results
- Our tech stack for the BDR role includes: ZoomInfo Engage, 6Sense, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Dynamics and more.
- Please note that this is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence in our Ottawa office twice a week.
- Occasional travel to partner/company events and conferences is required
Experience & skills we look for:
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, metric-driven environment or a related field is required
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required for this role
- Drive & Ambition: A self-starter with a high sense of urgency and a proactive interest in a career in sales
- Organization & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools and Field Effect tech stack is a plus
- Team Player: Collaborative, eager to share insights, and receptive to continuous feedback
