The Township of St. Clair is seeking a motivated individual for an Operator, Community Services position within the Community Services Department.
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Parks & Recreation this position is responsible for the day-to-day operation as well as general maintenance and repair of municipal facilities including maintenance of pools, parks, ice surface, operating ice resurfacing equipment, and janitorial duties. An important aspect of this position is maintaining good relations and exceptional customer service with all internal and external customers.
Education and Qualifications:
Qualifications will include Grade 12 diploma, valid Class G Ontario driver’s license, and two (2) years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Related qualifications, training and experience include the ability to deal with conflict effectively. Additionally, considered assets include ORFA: Certified Ice Technician certification, First Aid/CPR and WHMIS, Certified Pool Operator (CPO) designation, Propane Handling Certificate and knowledge of HVAC systems.
Compensation is in accordance with OPSEU Local 123 Collective Agreement. The pay range is set at $27.98 - $33.33 with a 40-hour work week.
