Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will play a
key role in maintaining the reliability and functionality of the plant equipment and structures. This position is responsible for performing welding and fabrication work, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and completing repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment and components.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform welding and fabrication work using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) processes.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and welding best practices.

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

Repair, modify, and fabricate equipment, structural components, and materials as required.

Perform mechanical repairs and assist with general maintenance activities as needed.

Work safely at heights and in confined spaces.

Work outdoors in all seasons and under varied weather conditions.

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.

Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting project timelines and production requirements.

Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- C-Level Welder certification with demonstrated proficiency in SMAW and FCAW welding processes.
- Valid BC Provincial Welding Certification.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform equipment repairs.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a safe work environment.
Rate of Pay: $51.245 per hour
