Job Overview:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality components and products, ensuring they meet precise specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in welding and mechanical assembly, along with a commitment to safety and efficiency. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician/Welder to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:

Read and understand fabrication blueprints/drawings.
-
Performs all mechanical assembly operations of sub-assemblies and package assembly, and functional test set up including in-process quality checks and tests.
-
Fit metal components as per provided blueprints/drawings and specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met;
-
Using processes such as GMAW (MIG) and FCAW
-
Operate welding equipment (manual or semi-automatic), metal shaping machines;
-
Ensuring that all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies and procedures;
-
Operates forklift, hand truck, and/or other material handling equipment to move material as required.
-
Basic maintenance of welding equipment.
-
As required, operate metal working equipment including, press brake, saws, etc.
-
Masking and painting of some parts as required
Qualifications:
-
Technical trade school in welding/mechanics
-
Minimum 1-2 years of mechanical assembly, welding experience.

Basic computer knowledge
-
Experience and ability to read and understand fabrication prints;
-
Manual Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination;
-
Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs)
-
Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
-
Ability to operate forklift and cranes (training provided by company)
-
Capable of adhering to safety standards and company policies.
