Full Time Dual Surveillance Supervisor-TIC
About the role
We are searching for dynamic individuals with a drive to succeed in strong business acumen & leadership skills to fill the role of Dual Surveillance Supervisor/Operator at Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands. Under the general direction of the Regional Manager, Surveillance, this position is responsible for monitoring Surveillance Operators and interior/exterior areas of the casino, monitoring interior and exterior areas of the property by closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service
- Helps create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day
- Adheres to all company and legislative policies and procedures as they relate to functions of the position
- Maintain logs and records as described in the policy and procedure and/or as directed
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of the sections of the Gaming Control Act of Ontario and the Criminal Code of Canada applicable to casino operational activity
- Monitors, documents and reports violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access; reports violations to the Supervisor, Surveillance
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and employees
- Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Protection of company assets and patrons; both internal and external
- Protection of gaming integrity for GCGC and the province of Ontario.
- Strict adherence to the Surveillance code of conduct and Mandate.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- People-focused and committed to service excellence
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
- Minimum Secondary School completion or equivalent; Post-Secondary in Criminology or other applicable area of study an asset
- Surveillance experience
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
- Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to excellence
- Possess a high level of honesty and integrity
- Adherence to high standards, methods and procedures
- Computer proficiency
- Good understanding of the Gaming Control Act and the Criminal Code of Canada
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
- Smart Serve certification
- French language is an asset
Since the fun never stops at Shorelines, candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights, based on business needs.
