Location: Etobicoke/North York (Flexible in location)
Time Commitment: Minimum 2 hours/week, flexible scheduling

Program Description:
Join our Speech and Language team in supporting children and youth with communication needs. Our program focuses on enhancing speech, language, and social communication skills through engaging activities, therapy sessions, and collaborative learning environments. Volunteers play a role in helping clients build confidence and communication abilities.
Volunteer Responsibilities:

Observe and assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)/Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDAs) during therapy sessions.

Help prepare materials and set up activities.

Participate in team meetings or training sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Interest in speech-language pathology, education, or related fields.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children and youth.

Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality.

Previous experience with children, a clinical/educational setting, or autism population is an asset but not required.

Volunteers must complete a background check and any required onboarding/training.
