Role Overview
The Hair Transplant Technician is responsible for assisting physicians in performing hair transplant procedures, preparing and maintaining surgical instruments, and ensuring a sterile and safe clinical environment. The technician plays a key role in graft preparation, implantation support, and post-procedure patient care.
Role Objectives
The Hair Transplant Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the physician during hair transplant procedures, including follicular unit extraction (FUE) and implantation.
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize surgical equipment according to clinical protocols.
- Count, separate, and implant grafts under magnification with precision and consistency.
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedure details and patient records.
- Educate patients on post-procedure instructions and care routines.
- Maintain inventory and request replenishment of medical supplies as needed.
- Uphold infection control protocols and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Support the clinical team in general administrative and patient-focused duties as required.
Role Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Nursing, Medical Assisting, or a related healthcare discipline required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience assisting in surgical or aesthetic procedures preferred.
- Previous hair transplant experience, particularly in FUE or implant placement, considered an asset.
- Proficiency with surgical instruments and aseptic technique.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and patient communication skills.
- Please note this is a part-time position (20-30hr/week)
