About the role
You’ll love it here! We are hiring immediately for multiple Maintenance Associate positions. These positions will start on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion into a permanent position.
As a Maintenance Associate, you will be working with your team to ensure the building is clear of debris, stays organized and stays as safe as possible.
Availability Requirement
You must be available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week on a Sunday to Thursday 5:00am start schedule.
Please note, some flexibility may be required depending on business needs.
What you’ll do:
- Collect and dispose of cardboard, wood, and debris
- Operate the compactor and cardboard baler
- Perform various tasks such as hanging signs, moving furniture and assisting in projects around the building
- Maintain, inspect and change powered equipment batteries
- Ensure forklifts and other machines are collected, parked and charging
- Paint and perform janitorial duties
- Occasionally work at heights up to 30 feet
- Operate power-jacks and lift trucks
- Other duties as assigned or required
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. including bending and twisting.
- Experience in trades, general maintenance, or repairs of any sort is an asset.
- MHE (material handling equipment) experience is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General computer literacy
- Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Painting experience is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

The starting pay rate for this position will be $19.25 per hour.
Base pay range
