Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are seeking an Automation Quality Assurance Developer to join and help grow our IT, Delivery and Support Team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, performance, and stability of our Portal system. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding testing requirements, designing and implementing automated test coverage, analyzing test results, and providing clear, timely communication of outcomes.
What will you do?
- Ensure comprehensive automated test coverage across all proprietary applications, through use of industry standard automated testing tools.
- Identify, plan, design, develop and schedule/run test scripts for Portal products / transaction / functions.
- Build trusted relationships and interact with business stakeholders, Business Analysts and Developers.
- Participate in QA Release testing overview planning sessions.
- Schedule and run automated test scripts, analyze, and report results, in addition to investigating test failures and complete or support corrective actions.
- Release night automation smoke testing.
- Participate and contribute to retrospectives.
- Understand requirements and acceptance criteria of new features, functions, and products.
- Plan, design, and develop automated test cases using industry standard automated testing tools.
- Recommend test strategies and plans to cover multiple features.
- Execute automated test cases, through scheduling and/or as required.
- Support any other QA or ad hoc testing, leveraging automation testing tools.
- Identify, analyze, root cause and report test case gaps and work item defects.
- Interact with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Developers, and others team members.
- Identify and recommend automation test opportunities.
- Participate and contribute process improvements.
- Ad hoc requests for discovery or knowledge sharing.
- Recommend and support process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
What do you need to succeed?
- 3+ years testing software including Visual Studio, Selenium C#.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand requirements and acceptance criteria to identify and develop automated testing independently.
- Detailed orientated.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multi-task across competing priorities.
