The Product Launch Coordinator will lead the Internal Product Development process for all new briefs by coordinating the docket process with the R&I and Regulatory teams supporting new business initiatives that support pipeline development, providing support to sales team in expediting customer requests, and responding to customer requirements.

Key Focus:

  • Manage the Product Development Life Cycle until completion of the stage Gate
  • Provide follow-up support to the PLMs for proper execution of the launch by coordinating internal tasks and processes associated with the development process.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Product Development Stage Gate from Docket creation to Formula and packaging approval.
  • Manage Multiple projects simultaneously and communicate development status and progress with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with R&D scheduling team to provide customer updates on all R&D’s status by client, also providing docket flow support.
  • Initiate R&D as directed by BDE/M’s when required.
  • Engage with the R&I team to develop products and submissions in alignment with the client brief requirements.
  • Initiate and follow through on Regulatory requests as required.
  • Communicate R&D schedule to clients on regular basis as required.
  • Pull up reports/information not accessible via remote to support BDE’s while travelling.
  • Update and maintain customer and product launch information in Salesforce.
  • Secure all approvals and signoffs as it pertains to the product development process from clients and forward internally to all relevant parties as requested and required, ensuring these are also appropriated filed in customer folders.
  • Focus on regular conversations with clients to keep them updated, ensuring Business Development Executive and others are kept in the loop as required.
  • Communicate internally and externally on a required basis, any changes, modifications, or additional requirements and manage conflict through solution-oriented alternatives. Involve all parties as required and coordinate all necessary meetings.
  • Own Sample Requests: i.e. Product/Sampling Library and specific sample requests made by clients.
  • Create and maintain preliminary BOM’s for costing.
  • Initiate component assessments and follow throughout the process until approval
  • Submit quotation requests for tooling
  • Submit purchase requisitions for required materials and/or tools

Skills, Experience and Education Required:

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience in a client/customer service, sales, product development, and/or marketing capacity.
  • Minimum 2+ years of client management experience in any industry; providing client services to multiple organizations.
  • General cosmetics and/or skincare product knowledge.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communications skills - oral and written.
  • Motivated to exceed expectations and pro-active rather than reactive.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations rather than be managed by customer.
  • Customer service oriented and a team player.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS office and CLI management systems (CRM, Excel/Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Resourceful and solutions oriented.

Nice to Have(s):

  • Experience in B2B or B2C product development, sales, and/or marketing
  • Experience working in a consumer goods manufacturing environment
