About the role
Kidco Construction is seeking a reliable, hardworking Shop Labourer to join our heavy equipment repair shop.
What We Need From You
- Keep shop floors clear and clean of debris and other different hazards
- Removal of garbage and other recycling materials to proper locations
- Pick-up of shop tooling and parts to be returned to the proper locations
- Record and report hours on equipment in shop and yard weekly to Maintenance Service Writer
- Operate forklifts and skid steers as needed to perform certain tasks
- Keep outside of buildings organized and neat/tidy as per season (cut grass, shovel snow, remove ice, etc.)
- Help the other employees in the shop when all their work is complete
- Keep shop materials filled and organized whenever needed
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient mann
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Test and inspect all cranes in service daily
Requested skills and experience
- High School Diploma
- Fluent in English – both written and oral
- Mechanically inclined
- Class 5 Driver’s License
What We Offer
- Competitive Hourly Wage: $20 - $24, based on experience
- Pay Increases: Based on performance
- Overtime Pay: After 8 hours each day or 44 hours per week, whichever pays higher
- Vacation/Holiday Pay: Additional 9.6% payout on top of your regular and overtime hours
