About the role
Title: Product Operations Manager
Salary: Based on experience + Benefits + Vacation
Location: Remote, Canada
Length: Permanent, full-time
Reporting Manager: Director of Product Experience
About Us: At WellnessLiving, we empower thousands of health and wellness business owners to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality. Our mission-critical software fuels their vision, supporting millions of clients around the world in their wellness journeys. With a deep commitment to putting our customers first, we foster a culture that values high performance, adaptability, and accountability. If you are a skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the health and wellness industry, we would love to connect with you.
Our team is driven by four core values that shape everything we do. If you share these values and meet the qualifications outlined for this role, we encourage you to apply - we’d love to learn more about you!
Customer First – We approach every challenge with a customer-focused lens, driven by an obsession with our customers’ happiness and success.
Excellence – We approach every task, whether big or small, with a steadfast commitment to exceptional execution and the pursuit of greatness.
Accountability – We take full ownership of our decisions, actions, and outcomes – both successes and failures.
Adaptability – We recognize that sustained success demands that we be malleable and purposefully evolve, acknowledging that the world is dynamic and constantly changing.
About The Role: We are looking for a Product Operations (ProductOps) Manager to help bring consistency, discipline, and operational excellence to our Product organization. This role is a key force multiplier for our Product Managers and cross-functional partners, ensuring that our tools, processes, and ways of working enable teams to move faster without sacrificing quality .
This is not a project manager role. The ProductOps Manager is the owner of how Product works — setting standards, enforcing best practices, and continuously improving the systems and workflows that power product discovery, delivery, and go-to-market execution.
You will partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Support, Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to ensure clarity, alignment, and operational rigor across a fast-growing SaaS organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Tooling Ownership & Administration
Own and optimize the Product team’s tool stack, including:
- Jira Software & Jira Product Discovery (JPD)
- Confluence
- Product dashboards & reporting tools
- Integrations with CRM, support, and analytics platforms
You Will:
- Design and maintain workflows, issue types, fields, automations, permissions, and templates
- Ensure data quality and enforce standards across projects
- Act as the primary admin and escalation point for product tooling
- Continuously evaluate and introduce better tools where needed
- Automation & AI Enablement
Build automations that remove friction and manual work from product workflows, including:
-
Jira automations (triage, routing, status updates, SLA tracking, release tagging)
-
Cross-tool workflows (e.g., CRM ↔ Jira ↔ Confluence)
-
AI-powered assistants for:
-
Drafting tickets, briefs, release notes, and customer summaries
-
Summarizing discovery, feedback, and meetings
-
Surface insights from support and community data
You Will:
- Identify high-leverage opportunities for automation
- Prototype, implement, and iterate quickly
- Ensure AI is used responsibly, securely, and practically
- Process Design & Change Management
Define And Evolve How Product Work Gets Done, Including:
- Discovery → Delivery → Launch workflows
- Intake and triage of ideas, bugs, and customer escalations
- Roadmapping, prioritization, and capacity planning
- GTM readiness and cross-functional handoffs
You Will:
- Create clear, lightweight processes and documentation
- Drive adoption through training and reinforcement
- Actively manage change — not just design it
- Spot breakdowns early and fix them before they become chaos
- Quality Standards & Enforcement
Be The Guardian Of Product Quality And Consistency:
- Ensure tickets meet definition of ready/done standards
- Enforce use of templates, fields, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain hygiene across backlogs, dashboards, and roadmaps
- Call out gaps, shortcuts, and anti-patterns early
You Will:
- Review artifacts and workflows regularly
- Provide direct, constructive feedback
- Escalate systemic issues with data, not opinions
- Help the team build pride in high standards
- Coaching & Enablement of PMs
Support Product Managers To Do Their Best Work:
- Coach PMs on tooling, processes, and best practices
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training or playbooks
- Help onboard new PMs into the team’s operating model
- Be a safe but firm point of feedback on working habits
You Will:
- Run enablement sessions and office hours
- Create playbooks, templates, and examples of “great”
- Reinforce expectations without being heavy-handed
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a bridge between Product and the rest of the organization:
- Align workflows with Engineering, Support, Sales, Marketing, Ops, and Leadership
- Ensure shared understanding of statuses, priorities, and ownership
- Improve handoffs between discovery, delivery, and GTM
- Bring operational clarity to cross-team initiatives
- Insights & Continuous Improvement
Use Data To Make Product Better:
- Build dashboards for flow, throughput, backlog health, and delivery confidence
- Identify bottlenecks and systemic risks
- Recommend experiments to improve speed, focus, and quality
- Regularly report on Product health to leadership
What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months):
- Product tools are clean, consistent, and trusted
- PMs spend less time on admin and more on discovery and strategy
- Backlogs, tickets, and roadmaps follow clear standards
- Cross-functional teams know where to look for truth
- Automations remove repetitive work and reduce errors
- The Product org operates with visible discipline and confidence
Experience What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years in Product Operations, Product Management, Program Management, or similar roles in a SaaS environment
- Deep hands-on experience administering Jira and Confluence (or similar ecosystems)
- Proven track record designing and rolling out processes across teams
- Experience building automations and workflows (Jira automation, APIs, low-code tools)
- Exposure to AI tools for productivity is a strong plus
Skills & Strengths
- Strong systems thinker — sees how tools, people, and process connect
- Comfortable being an enforcer when needed, with empathy
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Clear communicator who can influence without authority
- Data-driven and pragmatic — focused on outcomes, not bureaucracy
- Confident working with senior leaders and challenging constructively
Mindset
- You care deeply about quality and craft
- You believe process should enable speed, not slow it down
- You enjoy bringing order to complexity
- You’re energized by making teams better, not being in the spotlight
Why Join Us: At WellnessLiving, you’ll help shape how product is built across a diverse platform serving thousands of health & wellness businesses. This role gives you:
- Real ownership over Product’s operating model
- Direct impact on speed, quality, and morale
- A seat at the table with product and company leadership
- The chance to build ProductOps as a true discipline, not an afterthought
Please note that only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
We appreciate you taking the time and look forward to reviewing your application!
