ID# 6397 Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a programmatic document control strategy, tailored to support the delivery of major capital projects within Metro Vancouver.
- Establish standards for information governance, including compliance, document lifecycle management, metadata structures, and permissions protocols.
- Recommend and implement tools and platforms that facilitate effective document and records management across departments and projects.
- Provide advisory support to ensure integration of document control practices with broader capital project governance frameworks (e.g., CPMO/EPMO).
- Facilitate training and knowledge transfer sessions for internal stakeholders on new document control practices.
- Advise on compliance and audit readiness, ensuring traceability, version control, and regulatory alignment.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Document Control within large capital project environments, preferably in infrastructure, utilities, or public sector.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing document management governance, procedures, and systems at a program or corporate level.
- Strong familiarity with information compliance standards, document lifecycle governance, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Experience with Document Management Systems (DMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and public infrastructure project frameworks is a strong asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of project professionals and stakeholders.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead process change within large organizations.
