Project Details:
Based at Young-Davidson Mine in Matachewan, ON, this will be a 7 days on / 7 days off (day & night) rotation opportunity.
Responsibilities:
The Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the following:
- Participate in planning and information meetings with the superintendent, and fully collaborate by ensuring all necessary information is gathered to plan and organize the required work;
- Collaborate closely with the supervisor of the other shift to ensure smooth operational and managerial continuity of the project;
- Plan, organize, lead, and oversee planning and information meetings;
- Monitor the quality of reports completed by employees;
- Ensure that the quality of work (well-executed tasks, safety, cleanliness and order, meeting deadlines) reflects the company’s standards of excellence, and take all necessary measures to achieve this level of performance;
- Ensure that all reports destined for the superintendent are submitted on time and completed to a high standard;
- Enforce and comply with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, standards, and company policies;
- Report any abnormal conditions that may pose a risk to personal health and safety or that of other workers;
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 3–4 years of supervisory experience in the mining industry;
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to manage work teams effectively;
- Hold the required Common Core certification.
- Residents of the Northern ON and candidates identifying as Indigenous are encouraged to apply

For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo a substance test.
