Site Supervisor and technician
About the role
Type of position: Temporary
As a site supervisor, you’ll be required to work on client sites to ensure work compliance and adherence to site permit guidelines.
Key responsibilities
-
Monitor sites.
-
Attend site meetings.
-
Write daily reports.
-
Write and follow up on non-conformity reports.
-
Ensure work compliance:
-
Inspect the construction of ditches, dikes and hauling roads.
-
Control backfill material compliance and quality.
-
Control backfill compaction.
-
Perform basic geotechnical tests.
-
Take training, where required.
-
Update various logs.
-
Ensure continuous communication with the various stakeholders on work sites and in the design offices.
-
Manage drillers and perform geotechnical survey work, including soil sampling, geotechnical field testing, installation of monitoring wells and writing factual geotechnical reports.

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or an ongoing bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
- Strong skills in writing reports
- Available for short- and long-term assignments at client offices or sites
- ASP Construction training
