Job Description & Summary A career in Deals Valuations will provide you with the opportunity to help organizations unlock greater value from existing businesses and assets as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. Our focus is on a series of services, such as valuations to support financial reporting, M&A, tax and corporate reorganizations as well as valuation advice including deal pricing and value consulting to support management decisions related to transactions and corporate planning. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions on value, better conduct business transactions and decisions, and satisfy regulatory requirements leveraging your professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

As a
Valuations
Associate,
you’ll
work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Business Valuation

Understand the business/assets being valued, its historical and projected performance as well as key strengths and challenges
-
Conduct financial research into industr
y and general economic conditions, discount rates/cost of capital, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions
-
Engage clients in discussions around their business, including operations and financial items to further our valuation analysis
-
Prepare complex
valuation models to
support
and
arrive at
valuation
conclusions
-
Assist in report preparation
-
Perform audit support work including the review of purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment assessments and private equity portfolio company valuations
-
As part of the Deals group, you will work with colleagues across all lines of services to deliver valuations alongside other services provided by PwC
**Experiences and skills
you’ll

Strong interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work (Strong command of Microsoft
Excel, experience
with Microsoft Power Platform and Python, and experience with Generative AI tools)

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences
and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

Successful candidates will have a strong financial background, superior verbal and written communication skills, an investigative mindset with attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture, strong technical/analytical and project management skills, an ability to analyze
business situations and a professional and personable
demeanour
to interact with clients and work effectively in teams

This role best suits a team player with a CPA/CA/CFA
designation (other accounting or
finance-based
designations will be considered)

Progress towards completion of the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV)
designation would be an
asset

PwC BC Region Pay Range Information
The salary range* for this position is $
41.600,00 - $69.400,00

plus
individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience,
qualifications
and geographic location.

.
