About the role

Role Description/Criteria St John Vianney’s is seeking applications from enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers for a specialist Library/ Digital Technology position (0.6), commencing in Term 4, 2025. The working days are Tuesday- Thursday. The position may become ongoing in 2026. The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • a willingness to support the values and ethos of Catholic Education
  • a passion for Literature and Digital Technologies
  • strong ICT skills and pedagogy around Google applications
  • the skills and abilities to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience
  • a collegial, team-based approach to learning and teaching
  • a sound understanding of learning in an EAL community
  • strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • knowledge in the Science of Learning and Science of Reading (favourable but not essential)
  • sound knowledge and understanding of Religious Education within the Primary School
  • the ability to build positive supportive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • initiative and a commitment to ongoing Professional Learning
  • an understanding and commitment to Child Safety.

The successful applicant will have:

  • VIT registration
  • a current Police Check
  • RE Accreditation or a willingness to complete
  • a current First Aid Certificate
