Job description:
We are looking for motivated general labourers to join our production team in the Finishing department.
QHSE Responsibilities (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment)
- Comply with QHSE practices and rules, along with regulatory requirements
- Perform duties in a safe and compliant manner
- Report injury, near misses, unsafe or improper practices and conditions accurately and promptly.
- Assist in improving and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions, including participation in problem solving and risk analysis teams
- Attend all required HSE related training programs when required
- Coach new employees regarding proper HSE practices
- Know and understand the HSE plan and objectives
- Alert colleagues that are taking unnecessary risks
- Check safety devices prior to beginning operation
- Actively participate in HSE processes
- Question any work that you feel is unsafe and do not participate in work that will endanger the health or safety of any employee.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Job Requirements
- To process all fabrics including both heat setting and finishing processes, including sanding of joins.
- To ensure all processes and procedures are strictly adhered to and to promptly report any process deviations or off-standard conditions.
- To assist with fabric handling duties as required.
- To assist in non-standard and development finishing trials.
- To assist in equipment audits and P.M.'s including heat and tension checks, tenter pin replacement and any other equipment audits.
- Alert Supervisor on non-acceptable quality fabrics.
- Completes reports, in a written and/or electronic method, on a timely basis
- Must maximize machine utilization by minimizing downtime and effectively using spare time to perform equipment audits and fabric checks.
- Must work in a safe manner and perform the job with utmost concern for personal safety and the safety of those working in the area while ensuring the equipment is operated in a safe manner and no damage or undue hardship is put on the equipment.
- Must be familiar with all "Work Instructions" specific to finishing via VKS and all other relevant work instructions. Must keep current on new processes and process changes.

Shift premiums offered for 12-hour shifts and night shifts
