About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Account Manager - Convenience Channel to manage and grow our convenience channel accounts and distributor partners across Ontario. This role is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, executing promotional initiatives, introducing new products, and ensuring profitable account performance. The ideal candidate is commercially minded, enjoys building long-term customer partnerships, and has experience working with convenience, grocery, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of convenience store chains, independent retailers, and distributor accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to identify growth opportunities and maximize sales.
  • Present new product launches, line extensions, and promotional programs.
  • Ensure promotional activities and marketing initiatives are executed successfully with customers and distribution partners level.
  • Collaborate with customers on forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment to optimize product availability.
  • Monitor pricing, margins, and overall account profitability while identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Review sales performance and develop action plans to achieve sales objectives.
  • Partner with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver exceptional customer support.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and work with customers to ensure accounts remain current.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, industry events, and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and forecasts.

Education and Experience

  • 2–4 years of sales or account management experience.
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), grocery, convenience, food, beverage, natural health products, or related industries is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to grow sales while managing customer profitability.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience managing promotions, product launches, and customer programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple accounts.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and identify growth opportunities.
  • Customer-focused with a consultative sales approach.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to attend regional trade shows, sales meetings, and customer events as required (some travel may be necessary).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
