Role: ILSC University Pathway Lead
Reports to: University Pathway Manager
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Compensation: $45,000-$50,000 annually
Start Date: April 13th, 2026
Schedule: This is a full-time in-person position, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Description:
The University Pathway Program is an integral part of the in all thriving ESL schools. Students in the program have an end goal of transferring to one of ILSC’s partner colleges or universities. The program allows for students to transfer without having to do an English Proficiency test as agreements have been made with several college/university partners.
The University Pathway Lead works closely with the Admission, Academic, and Student Service teams, as well as Sales Staff and Agents to support University Pathway students at both pre-arrival and post-arrival stages. This position also works closely with our University Pathway Partners.
Job Duties:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Student applications- helping students to complete applications to partner schools; meeting with students to prepare applications; receiving applications from marketers, counselors and agents; sending documents to partner schools and following up.

Student Advising – explaining post-secondary education system in Canada; providing information about different programs and partner options.

Agent Relationship – assisting agents with their guidance on potential student applications and selection of a partner school. Strengthen existing working relationships, nurture new agent relationships, and agent training when needed.

Class and attendance Monitoring –ensuring students are taking the correct classes and monitoring rates of absenteeism.

Partner Tours, presentations & other program initiatives – organizing appointments and initiatives for the program.

Student Engagement post ILSC – following up with students after they transfer to a partner school, collecting data, testimonials.

University Pathway Graduation – preparation & organization – includes coordinating guest speakers for the graduation ceremonies.

Facilitating Orientation sessions – organizing and presenting information about the students’ responsibilities and opportunities

Liaising with the Marketing Department – to promote the program at local education fairs, presentations & training to agents (in person or web-based training); organizing partner training for sales staff.

Reports – providing regular reports on enrolment, transfers to partners and other relevant data; maintaining, tracking and submitting commission reports to partners and accounting; monitoring and reporting on student progression.

Responding to Inquiries – from ILSC staff, agents, partner schools, and direct leads, providing full and complete responses that focus on partner options across Canada, not just regionally. Responding to messages received in the Canadian University Pathway Mailbox.

Building relationships – strengthen existing working relationships with pathway partners and agents. Nurture new pathway partner and agent relationships.

Supporting – providing support to internal and external stakeholders

Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
- Undergraduate degree
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Written and spoken fluency in a second language is preferred for this position
- Experience in an international education environment
- Excellent knowledge of the Post-Secondary Education System in Canada
- Genuinely concerned with the welfare, academic progress and personal growth of students & able to offer appropriate advice
- Proficient knowledge of database, EXCEL, word processing, email, presentation software, basic accounting
- Works effectively in a fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Experience communicating with ESL learners, other departments
- Positive attitude, ability to multi-task, willingness to learn and take on new duties and responsibilities
- A team player that works well independently with minimal supervision
- Proactive with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
