Kia ora! We’re looking for a Credit Risk Manager – Policies and Assurance to join our awesome team based in Newmarket, Auckland.
Is this your next role? You’ll develop and maintain our Credit Risk Policies and frameworks while delivering quality assurance analysis and reporting. Your work ensures Heartland’s lending practices align with our risk appetite and that controls are robust and effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of credit risk management strategies
- Develop and maintain credit risk and assurance reporting to deliver timely insights across portfolios
- Provide expert guidance to business units to foster continuous learning and uplift credit risk capability
- Conduct quality assurance and hindsighting across lending products identify / recommend improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain Credit Policies and Frameworks
Does this sound like you? You’re a self-starter with a get it done attitude. You’ve written credit policies before and know how to apply them practically. You think logically, act with integrity, and bring a calm, rational approach to complex challenges.
You’re a Pro With
- Five years plus experience in credit risk management or a related field
- Deep understanding of credit risk principles, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences
- Confidence in ensuring compliance with credit policies and standards
