As an Associate Director/Director, Private Capital Solutions at Hiive, you will play a pivotal role in demonstrating the benefits of the Hiive platform’s all-in-one liquidity solution to private issuers their shareholders. This is a high-visibility role where you'll directly engage with founders, CFOs, and legal teams of the most highly valued VC-backed private companies across the US, to bring them investor demand and a best-in-class transaction management technology. Your mission will be to position Hiive as the gold standard in liquidity solutions for private companies, enabling them to raise capital and streamline secondary transactions in an increasingly complex private markets landscape.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Would Include
- Becoming an expert on the secondary market for pre-IPO securities; understanding market dynamics, key participants, and the role of Hiive.
- Developing, growing, and owning strategic relationships with a set of private companies by articulating the benefits of Hiive’s capital markets and transaction administration technology capabilities.
- Prospecting and engaging private companies through strategic calling, targeted marketing campaigns, and personalized outreach efforts to drive liquidity in their shares and platform adoption.
- Solidifying Hiive’s position as best-in-class partner to private companies for liquidity in their shares and transaction administration technology.
- Seamlessly delivering the value of Hiive to issuers by collaborating with our Capital Markets, Execution Services, and Funds teams.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment within the Private Capital Solutions team.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Be an ambitious, high-energy person with a strong sense of urgency, exceptional work ethic, insatiable thirst for knowledge and challenge, and outstanding organizational skills.
- Be passionate about building and maintaining strategic client relationships.
- Have a “can-do” attitude and demonstrated ability to take on new challenges and map uncharted territory.
- Have experience owning a set of accounts with responsibility for driving service and product adoption within those accounts.
- Have a deep understanding of private capital markets and the ecosystem of players.
- Have an existing network of private company and VC contacts in senior, influential roles.
- Have exceptional sales acumen, negotiation skills and a results-driven mentality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to navigate cross-functional dynamics quickly and efficiently to drive results.
- Have a relevant educational background, such as a business, finance, or economics degree, or exceptional academic performance in a liberal arts or science program.
- Possess a FINRA Series 7 and/or Series 63 or ability to complete the registrations shortly after hiring.
