Human Resources Administrator Reporting to the AVP, Human Resources, the Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support to Human Resources in the areas of Human Resources Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, and Benefits & Payroll Administration.

About the Team The Butterfield HR Team supports a Canadian employee base of over 300 employees. We are a multi-faceted team that manages a variety of functions including recruitment and selection, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, payroll, talent management, HR business partnership, and more. Our team provides strategic insight to ensure the business has the talent it needs to grow and works to create the best possible experience for our colleagues―whether they are seasoned professionals or just starting their careers.

Your responsibilities will include: Administrating HR Information System (HRIS) for multiple jurisdictions. Ensuring timely transaction processing and accuracy of HR data. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure employee change requests are accurately reflected in payroll and HRIS within agreed timelines and SLAs. Providing Learning Management System (LMS) support through portal navigation assistance, data entry and verification, general inquiries and reporting. Providing administrative support on the payroll process, data entry, document verification, and administration of the benefits and retirement savings plans. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records including personnel files, payroll records, and benefit details. Assisting with the administration of the onboarding and exiting of employees. Aiding with compiling data and documents for the purpose of audits and reporting requests. Carrying out other projects and tasks as required.

Your qualifications and skills include: Post-Secondary education in Office Administration, Business Administration or Human Resources and previous experience in administration or equivalent combination of administrative work experience. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate in person and virtually with colleagues globally. Ability to develop a solid understanding of internal controls, policies and processes to ensure compliance. Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with absolute discretion. Ability to act impartially. Detail oriented and ability to take initiative while applying critical thinking. Ability to multi-task and collaborate with a team locally and across the Group. Proficiency in MS Office with aptitude and ability to learn new systems and processes.
