As the Distribution Supervisor, you’ll manage day-to-day delivery operations across Grocery, Big Box Retail, Convenience, On-Premise, and our retail network (The Wine Shop). You’ll work closely with warehouse teams, order desks, third-party carriers, and internal customer contact center to ensure routes run smoothly, service levels stay high, and customer expectations are met every single day. You will be based in our Distribution Center and on site each day however report directly into our National Customer Contact Center team.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys troubleshooting delivery issues, and has the confidence to lead people and influence carrier partners.
What the teammate will be responsible for -
Logistics & Operations
- Coordinate daily delivery routes and schedules to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance.
- Solve delivery and carrier issues quickly to keep freight moving and minimize service disruptions.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics partners, monitoring rate agreements and service quality.
- Track key operational metrics (accuracy, cost per case, service levels) and implement improvements.
- Oversee stock rotation, inventory accuracy, and movement across internal and external warehouses.
- Support budget management, invoice processing, and monthly reporting.
Team Leadership
- Coach and develop team members, promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution
- Act as the operational point of contact for delivery performance questions.
- Partner with Sales, Retail, and Customer Service teams to resolve escalations quickly and professionally.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with alcohol transportation regulations and internal EH&S policies.
- Participate in safety audits, training, and investigations, promoting a proactive safety culture.
What experiences, skills and knowledge this teammate will bring -
- 5+ years of experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics—ideally in food, beverage, CPG, or FMCG.
- Proven success running high-volume delivery operations and working with 3PLs.
- Strong problem-solving skills—you can navigate unexpected carrier issues confidently.
- Experience with logistics tech: route optimization, dispatch tools, telematics, etc.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams and with carrier partners.
- A continuous improvement mindset—you look for ways to make processes better, faster, and more efficient.
- Education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
What you will love about working here -
- A dynamic role where every day is different
- Opportunity to influence delivery performance across multiple retail and commercial channels
- Work with passionate teams across warehouse, logistics, sales, and retail
