Purpose:
The Recruiter is accountable for assisting the Human Resources Team in the recruitment, selection and onboarding process across the organization. The recruiter will also assist in accurate documentation of the onboarding process and recruitment related activities such as training, audits, and various administrative work.

Job Responsibilities:
- Apply best practices to ensure the organization is hiring skilled and qualified candidates who best fit with the core values and culture of the organization
- Support and carry out the recruitment and selection workflow for all assigned positions, including but not limited to, ensuring all hiring approvals are on file, conducting intake meetings with hiring managers, facilitating the recruitment strategy, advertising, sharing employment opportunities and sourcing candidates through appropriate media, short listing and pre-screening candidates, scheduling and actively participating in interviews, conducting reference checks, and offers of employment
- Set targets for deliverables with each hiring manager to ensure recruitment and selection activities are being carried out in a timely and effective manner
- Build strong collaborative relationships with the management team
- Actively promote positive external perception of the business
- Maintain the application tracking process in coordination with the Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS).
- Supporting the company’s recruitment process including job postings (to the company website, various external job boards, colleges / universities, associations and by email distribution), reviewing resumes, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews reference checks, issuing offers of employment, obtaining background checks & driver’s abstract (where applicable), requests for tools / equipment / insurance
- Provide onboarding / orientation to new hires, and ensure that all documentation is complete, including first day orientation as required
- Supporting the HR team and TAS to maintain a database of standardized job descriptions
- Administrative tasks related to recruitment and new hires
Qualifications:

Minimum post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
-
Minimum of 2-3 years recruitment experience
-
Minimum of 2-3 years administrative experience
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, direct experience with Excel
-
Experience with recruiting a broad range of positions such as senior management, technical/sales/administrative, and warehouse/distribution/logistics.
-
Experience in the healthcare industry would be an asset

Ability to travel within the province of Ontario when required

Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred
SKILLS:
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize effectively, with a sense of urgency as required
- Organized and detail oriented with solid analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbal and in writing
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an Asset
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
