Description Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead production staff to achieve efficient operation.
- Perform changeovers to equipment in order to accommodate varying packaging requirements.
- Ensure that all production and packaging activities follow health, safety and quality procedures.
- Provide relevant training, coaching, and mentoring to production team members with the goal of continuous improvement.
- Work with the Cellaring team to ensure daily and weekly packaging schedules are met.
- Provide accurate reporting and follow-up for inventory purposes.
- Work with the Logistics and Procurement team to ensure proper flow and timing of raws and finished products.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of packaging.
- Oversee, in conjunction with the Cellaring team, sanitation and upkeep of all packaging equipment and production areas.
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and assist contractors in overhauls on all packaging equipment. ie. case erector, shrink wrapper, can filler, can seamer, pasteurizer, etc.
- Accommodate production schedule changes where required by business demand.
- Other tasks as required.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatics, piping, etc
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop in a production environment
- Strong documentation skills
- Problem Solving
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace Products
- Able to follow a production schedule and prioritize where needed
- Strong organizational skills
The standard hours of work are 7:00am to 3:00pm. Please note that from time to time, additional hours may be required depending on production schedules
