Architectural/Structural Technologist - Full Time, Hybrid (Barrie, Ontario)

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP (Pario) is a niche consulting firm working almost exclusively within the insurance and risk management market segments providing environmental science, emergency response and forensic engineering services.

Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences LP is currently seeking a detail-oriented, well-organized, and dependable Architectural or Structural Technologist to join our team. Working with our team of structural engineers, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of architectural and structural designs and drawings using AutoCAD and/or REVIT and ensuring that design drawings conform to specifications provided and conform to the appropriate building codes. The successful candidate will also help with building permit applications, site investigations, completing site measurements and construction review.

This position will be based out of our office in Barrie, Ontario.

The successful candidates will meet the following qualifications and experience:

  • Must have expert knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Must have an Architectural, or Structural Technologist Diploma from a recognized educational institution
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Must have a working knowledge of Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code
  • Must hold a valid G class license
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Positive, self-driven, motivated, personal attitude
  • Must be willing to attend sites, take measurements, operate a laser scanner, and assist with site investigations and construction review as required
  • Must be able and willing to work in a variety of locations, and situations involving hot or cold weather conditions, and in a variety of situations, some of which may involve close quarters.
