Veterinary Reception, Animal Care Attendant
Location: Markham, ON
Cachet Village Animal Hospital is currently welcoming an organized and empathic individual to join our support team full-time in the dual role of aVeterinary Reception and Animal Care Attendant.
- Caring for our patients; feeding, walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance.
- Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable.
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents
- Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine aptitude for putting pets and their owners at ease and creating a welcoming environment.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments.
- Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages.
- Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
- Animal Restraint.
- General housekeeping duties; pet holding, lobby and treatment areas.
- Willingness to learn more regarding pet nutrition, veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
- Take initiative and work independently.
- VA Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset.
