Job Description:
As a member of the Clinical Resource Team (CRT) you will have the opportunity to work across programs and across Trillium Health Partners sites. The CRT staff is a vital component of ensuring uninterrupted patient care delivery by providing coverage for planned absences of inpatient Occupational Therapists. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled, agile and adaptable with excellent time management and interprofessional skills. Within the CRT Operations and Practice are supported by a Manager, Educator and the Professional Practice Leader for Occupational Therapy. Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensed with the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Previous experience with assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting, including video- fluoroscopic assessment
- MBSImp certification is preferred or willingness to be certified
- Experience with acute adult communication and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting
- Experience with elderly patients with co-morbid neurological, surgical and medical conditions
- Experience with critical care and end of life care is preferred
- Experience with tracheostomies is preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and student learning
- Strong case management skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced team environment
- Superior interpersonal communication skills, including verbal and written communication
- Interest in potential professional and career development opportunities Satisfactory attendance and performance required
